Tip #1:
Any number divided by itself will
always equal 1. For example, 6 ÷ 6 =
1.
Tip #2:
Any number divided by 1 will always be
that number. For example, 6 ÷ 1 =
6.
Tip #3:
If the
numerator (in
this case, the number on the
left) is greater than the
denominator (the number
on the
right), then you know there is at least 1 whole number in the answer.
Tip #4:
If the
numerator
and the
denominator are both even numbers, then you know you will need to
reduce or
simplify the fraction.

divisible by the
